Preparing for Ramadan: A 30-Day Plan for the Whole Family
What and when
Ramadan 1448 AH is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, depending on moon sighting. Always confirm the start with your local moon-sighting committee or the announcement from the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA).
Why prepare
The meaning of the verse: fasting has been prescribed for you, as it was for those before you, so that you may become mindful of Allah. (Quran 2:183)
Verse reference: Quran 2:183. The aim of the fast is taqwa, and a little preparation helps you aim for it.
